LONDON (March 02, 2023) — AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, today announced that it has appointed Robert Noden as Strategy & Growth Director for its Environment, Water and Energy (EWE) business line. In this new role, Robert will lead the development of EWE’s strategy for future growth and EWE’s Client Account Management (CAM), sector and work winning teams. Robert brings more than 20 years of experience working with industry, government and energy clients.

The appointment is the first key external hire for AECOM’s new EWE business line, led by Managing Director Gert Vermeiren, which was formed out of AECOM’s previous Environment, Ground Engineering and Water business in September last year.

“I look forward to welcoming Robert Noden to AECOM, and to working with him to grow the strategy for our newly formed EWE business. Robert brings extensive experience in supporting clients across the energy, water, and environment sector to solve complex challenges such as the energy transition, water resilience and ESG, and in delivering projects which enable communities to thrive.” said Gert Vermeiren, Managing Director, EWE, at AECOM UK&I and Environment Business Line Lead for Europe & India.

Prior to joining AECOM, Robert held leadership roles within the environment consultancy practices across EMEA for GHD and WSP in the UK, including almost six years with WSP-owned Golder Associates. He began his career with URS Corporation (now part of AECOM).

“I’m very excited to be joining AECOM as Strategy & Growth Director for EWE. As a global leader in environmental, water and energy consulting, AECOM is at the forefront of thinking about how we can solve challenges ranging from water resilience to ESG, sustainability and net zero,” said Robert Noden, Strategy & Growth Director for EWE. “I look forward to working with the team to develop solutions for the problems facing our clients today.”
